Residents Of Frafraha Lament Over Drainage Systems.

Residents of Frafraha have shared their concerns and grievances on the unavailability of drainage systems in the community.

The aggrieved residents who as a result of not having drainage systems in their community have all roads in the community in bad shape and trickled diseases on them.

In an interview with some residents, they mentioned the absence of the drainage systems had caused soil erosions in most parts of the community.

“You will realize all the lanes in between the settlements and houses are spoilt, the water form people’s homes and rains wash the soil away. There are some parts in the community cars cannot even pass there because of the nature of the road”. A resident mentioned.

They further pouted the absence of the drainage system had caused flooding in previous years and also habited stagnant waters that bred insects, mosquitoes especially causing harm.

“Poorly drained storm water forms stagnant pools that provide breeding sites for disease vectors”. Another resident mentioned.

They appealed to the government and the Municipal assembly to intervene and construct the drains and construct their roads.

“We are appealing to Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel Nii – Noi Adumuah and Hon Adamu Ramadan the member of parliament of this constituency to pay attention to us and fix the problems we are facing we also deserve better.

Frafraha is a suburb of Adenta in the Adenta Municipality on the Adenta-Dodowa road. It is 26.7 km away from the central business district in Accra.
